My Bench

In the watercolor class I'm taking with Kate, our lesson this week is on landscapes. Before I set off for the workweek, I took several photos of areas of my property to use for my 'homework.'

This landscape shows a bench that sits on a small wooded area in the front of our property. The path goes around the frontside of the bench and then winds its way behind it.

Lin -- I like the composition and the way you changed the angle of the bench from the how it was in the photo. Also you have a very nice texture, kind of a dry-brush, that I really like. Nice landscape!!

As usual, I'm away for a couple of days and return to find you've been very busy! These recent sketches are lovely, Lin, so evocative of this area and this season.

Lin, your property is beautiful and you portray it so well with your watercolors.
