Pears and Grapes

I carried a number of reference photos from WetCanvas that I could use during quiet times while visiting my daughter. I sketched these fruits and tried again to focus on achieving the multi-hues I saw in each piece of fruit.

While I think I've achieved my goal with the watercoloring and various hues, I MUST MUST MUST remember to be VERY careful when adding pencil to my watercolors when the paper is wet. This pear looks a bit 'bruised' where I got a bit ambitious with the pencil.

SIGH!

Wow! These are really great! You captured the different colors of the skin of the fruits yet still made the skin look like one solid shiny piece. Great!

I am not sure what the heck you are "sighing" about, these are stunning! BEAUTIFUL job on the blending of colors! This is something I could definitely use more practice at!!!

I must disagree that you've given those luscious pears anything resembling a bruised look I thought your fruit was terrific.

I think these are fantastic! The highlights on the pears are so lovely, as well as the clear glazes of color you have achieved, which adds so much depth and richness. You are doing great. :)
