Sunflower

This sunflower was done from a reference photo ... I didn't have too much trouble with the flower -- but mercy, that background was difficult!! Getting it to be multi-colored, dark and yet 'vague' took 2 days to finally get it to be somewhere near my attempt!!

This is absolutely gorgeous! I would say well worth the effort, love those colours and the hazy look!

Beautiful!!! I love the background also, it fits so well-just say you planned it that way:)

But I know what you mean about backgrounds, I also have trouble and really try to get a background in now.

The whole thing is GORGOLISOUS! But the background, AWESOME! I love all the tones and colors in it!

What a great job getting the foreshortening and perspective to work --the front petals really come forward. I like the glow around the sunflower and think it works great with the mysterious background.

This photo reminds me of gazanias. We don't often see sunflowers in anything but yellow here. Nice job Lin!
