Another Warm Morning

Already sultry on the porch at 11:00 am, the tree frogs keep me company in the hot quiet of the morning. No breeze stirs the trees; insect buzz and hummingbirds sip at the sugar solution in the feeder.

I sit in the swing and struggle to capture angles.

I don't care how hot it is, I want to be there. This looks so inviting and lovely and I'm jealous. You've really captured the feeling of sun and heat and summer colors. It's foggy, cool and windy here (as usual). I love your journal drawings and writings. I'm curious what kind of pen & ink you use--the writing looks so pretty and a bit old fashioned which just adds to the charm.

Now, Lin, if you had another rocking chair I would join you in this idyllic setting. Just lovely and comfy!

Oh, Lin, these are just lovely. I especially like this one, with those wonderful purply blues. Have to agree here, this looks like a charming and inviting spot to just dream and draw.
