EDM 77 COOL

I sketched this river scene from a photo reference for EDM 77 "COOL" - and loved the photo I found for it (modified by the errors I made!!!) -- I like this sketch better than my azalea garden, but I have a LONG way to go ....

So last night after what SHOULD be my last 15-hour day for a while, I sketched the glass of tea (also for cool!), also from a photo since it was too late for caffeine and there wasn't any at the B&B!

Here in the south the automatic choice of a 'cool drink' is ice tea - almost all restaurants serve this beverage highly sweetened! A glass is rarely left long before being refilled.

You did a wonderful job on the ice tea, it is missing the lemon slice I always ask for!!! *grin* I like your little river/creek picture too!

You've really rendered Cool so beautifully, Lin. That glass of iced tea looks scrumptious, but, please, no sugar ;D.

Oh, and the scene you painted is just so lovely. Really one of your very nicest, I think.

Both are wonderful Lin! You did a great job on the ice cubes in the tea - you've really accomplished "cool" with both of these!! I agree 100% - tea with NO sugar!! I don't see how a person can taste the tea when it's got sugar in it.

Both these new entries are absolutly delightful and beautiful and each cool and refreshing in their own way. You GO, Girl!

Great job with the tea glass especially -- you got those flat places just right, and still kept the glass looking round. How'd you do that, anyway???
(The value of practice, I know!)

I know...tis hard for me to remember to ask for unsweetened tea in the Deep South...and then the looks you get! But your tea glass looks good and refreshing. Not easy drawing glassware.

Both are great, but the tea glass is particularly wonderful. You have created great depth with this very difficult subject. I could just imagine myself picking it up. Excellent...really very well done Lin! :o)

I've only just discovered iced tea so this hits the spot alright!! Lovely painting, I like how you left the top almost white, it's so light and inviting!

The tea looks good enough to drink....
