HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Happy Halloween

My dear son and his wife took their children to the Pumpkin Patch a few weekends ago. The toddlers rode the train, went to the petting zoo, picked out pumpkins, rode the ponies, and had a ball! He shared the photos with me and I decided to try -- AGAIN -- to capture their sweet faces. SIGH!

Well, the ones of Emily and Nick sitting on pumpkins are okay, but look more like illustrations than my grands -- but the larger one of Emily holding a pumpkin with a huge grin on her face --well, that's closer ....

More practice .... definitely more PRACTICE!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Precious! And, you are right about practice...I tend to forget!

Oh Lin, these are so precious! They feel like my little friends!

Practice makes us better, however, capturing the moment and feeling is what it's really all about! I think you did that!

Lin -- i find kids' faces awfully hard to capture. Maybe because they're so darn cute and we try to translate all that on paper. But what matters is what you bring to the picture than ressemblance itself.

Samhain blessing to you my friend. This drawing is a great keepsake. I love the composition you've created. I know practice makes perfect - I've seen it in your work!

That's exactly what Bruce said when he saw them -- that they were really cute -- like illustrations in a child's book! Keep at it,
you get it the way you want it, but for now just know that they are adorable!
Hugs,
Lorraine

:-) They are so cute! The little one on the right, sitting on the pumpkin -- I just want to hug her! Great work, Lin.

You've got their little bodies just right and their faces look so angelic. What cutie-pies.

Lin, they are so adorable! Go easy on yourself, painting faces is so HARD!! Love the Venice painting too, those ladies and their handbags out shopping without a care in the world, ah Italy!

Gorgeous grand children, beautifully done by thier grandmother, you will look back on these when they are older and wonder where the time went.
