Venice Cafe

The leaves are dropping quickly around here. Recent high winds and rains have already stripped many of the trees. Those leaves remaining are muted and dulled. Only a few weeks of fall this year ... darn!

So I decided to revisit Venice through Bonny's photographs. Here's one of my favorites of her's ...a cafe, canal in the background, and more lovely architecture.

I think this is the first cityscape you've done with people. Amazing what some "life" adds!! And you did them so well--not too defined, but showing some color, some movement. Just excellent, Lin!!

Lovely, Lin!
You truly did capture the people very well - now that's something I would have messed up for sure!
I'm so pleased you are doing these Venice Vignettes, I doubt I would ever get to them.

Hi, Lin. Great drawing. It's cool that we're both taking Cathy's course!!

Linnie, This is fun, I like the people in it! As the weather turns, we will all probably be doing more sketches off of photos.

This is so charming and bright. Just what I needed to see right now.

What a nice scene -- and so like many I've seen in sketch books -- you captured the feeling of the street perfectly.
