EDM 92 Brown Paper Bag

The conference went very well!! HORRAY! Now it's time to relax and spend the weekend at Art in the Carolina's workshop hosted by Jerry's Art-a-Rama! I'm scheduled for four classes, my good friend, Lorraine is here from Kentucky for a visit, and I'm as excited as a kid in a candy shop!

I sketched the EDM challenge when I got home tonight. I found a wee brown sandwich bag and surprised myself to see all the bits of red and blue in the bag. A neat challenge to focus on the simple!

Congrats on getting over the hump at work and holding a successful conference (while doing beautiful daily painting!). Somehow your bag's stance reflects that feeling of pride and completion. Isn't it fun to see so much more in simple things than what is there on first glance!

What a wonderful job you did on this Lin! The fold lines are incorporated so well and the color is perfect!

Lin, this is good! I haven't done a paper bag in colour before, but quite enjoyed doing it graphite.

Lin, another great job, your work is inspiring. I haven't had a chance to work on the EDM challenges lately, I need to get back to that list. I noticed you liked to write are you doing the Nanowrimo challenge??

Nice Lin, i really like this. It is a simple subject but sometimes they are the most difficult to draw, don't you think?

You really create a nice sense of texture here. Using the blue and red paid off!

Very nice. It is interesting when you really look at an object the different colors involved. Usually we would just think of it as a "brown" paper bag!. As always your renderings are wonderful.

And Lin, you left that bit of light at the top, which makes it look so real!

Ooh, so realistic. I love it. And I'm so excited about seeing you again and Jerry's classes.
