Tulips by the Fence


Tulips by the Fence

Even though we've had a week of record freezing temperatures, these hardy tulips continue to bloom against the arboretum fence. They cheer me each morning!

Again Lin, the shapes and shading are just right! Red tulips were always my favorites, especially the Emperors. Nice view to greet you and now you'll always have it!

I love these Lin, and the lilacs below. It's so exciting seeing how your painting has come on in leaps and bounds. I think your style is much looser these days - these tulips are a good example of that, I think.

Lucky you! We've discovered the previous owners of our house planted NO spring bulbs! Lovely painting Lin, I love the dark values in the ground too.

Wow, love these tulips! And the color of the lilacs is spectacular. We won't see such things until late May!
