Guided Work - Flowers and Negative Painting

A good friend of mine helped me work through learning negative painting ... this was so much more difficult than it looks! But I really love the results!

I can imagine it was difficult. But what a great result! I really like this effect.

Beautiful! But, don't you find that negative painting is peaceful and relaxing -- very zen like? Even though it's hard, it is the BEST part about watercolor! (Okay, maybe other than the intentional run backs, and clear washes, and drips that make shapes. Oh well.)
:-D

You did great on the negative painting! Although it is challenging, to me it is like Linda says, actually very "zen" like.
