As Sue and I were leaving the gardens last Saturday, we turned a corner and this lovely sun dial greeted us ... I LOVED the way it sat among the flowers ... even IF the sundial portion looks like a tiny sailboat! LOL

That bit of a sundial is called the "gnomon" (goodness knows how I know that!). It looks like a lovely, peaceful spot, very nicely painted.

This is a beautifully balanced painting. I love the shapes, the curves, the colours and the composition. I get that sense of being stopped in my tracks as you probably were when you saw that sundial.
