Oxford, NC Tobacco Field in Flower

Though tobacco is a crop most North Carolina farmers have stopped growing, there are still a few fields here and there being grown. This sketchy sketch is of a field near my home in full flower ready for topping.

I'm so sorry Lin...I have missed your post on your daughter going in for surgery...I'm so happy for you she's fine!

I don't visit often enough! Do you know, Lin, I honestly don't know whether I prefer your landscapes, flowers or grandchildren paintings. They are ALL so wonderful.

Beautiful..... I've never seen tobacco blooming, or a plant in fact. Does the plant smell lovely when in bloom?
