I am so enjoying your door series and am inspired to think of a theme for my upcoming trip to Europe in just 50 days! This sketch is really good and shows off your excellent drawing skills. Brava!

This is just brilliant. The shading and the composition are excellent.

Wonderful drawing. Was it fun to do? I thought about doing the chain drawing and got one of those "oh it's too complicated" left brain reactions so didn't do it. Your drawing inspires me to give it a try.

Lin, this is superb! I love the way you've accurately got the detail of the chain (difficult to do) and then let the edges of the composition fade softly away. I like the colours too; a sort of delicate green/grey. Super picture!

Lovely composition and just the right amount of detail. Great answer to this challenge.

Life is returning to normal after our recent house move so now I'm catching up on blogs. I think your sketches are coming along beautifully, Lin! The chain is spot-on and, I too, like the way the edges of the gate disappears.
