Hibiscus

I took two nights to work on this ... one to sketch and add first layers; the second night to lift off a lot and redo! LOL

My intent is to keep practicing this blending on watercolor paper, hopefully, if time permits this weekend .... but that's busy too -- but a busy I'm looking forward to. It's Jerry's Art of the Carolina's weekend, and I"m signed up for classes for 2 days -- yahoo!!!!

Lin, this has worked really well. It's a lovely soft painting. You've done brilliantly with the bristles on the brush too - a very difficult subject! And I love that window with flowerpots on - really summery and fresh.

Oh this is just so soft and lovely -- the blending is beautiful -- worth every bit of the time you spent on it -- all the details are just perfect. I'm running out of superlatives! It is truly a beautiful flower.

This is a very gorgeous painting. You've done a wonderful job laying down the watercolor.

It's looks like you've got quite a handle on blending already. Very nice!

Have fun this weekend - I'm an art class junkie myself :)

And I'm just eat up with jealousy over the Jerry's thing -- :-D
Have a GREAT time!

Uh, I just realized how very deeply southern I just sounded in my last comment. Lin, people who aren't from our part of the country (y'all that're from off) probably don't even understand that phrase... "eat up with jealousy" indeed ...
