Landscape of Blue Flowers

Landscape of Blue Flowers

Though I was thrilled with the rain we've had recently, I really needed a bit of sunshine (at least on paper) ... and so I combined several photos to create this landscape painting.

I love twisty roads and fields of flowers and so started with the road and added some shrubs and trees. I've tried to add more cool colors to the far trees, though the bluish tint isn't being shown as much in this scan as in person.

Great trees and shrubs. They really show the light.

Hmm, combining photos must mean you've been reading your new book? I love the winding road -- your perspective is "spot on!" Hopefully you'll get more of that much needed rain and truly WILL have an abundance of flowers this spring.

I love the coming and going of the fence in this. Don't ya hate it when the scanner/camera can't quite get the tones and colors right? Great job on combining landscapes!

You did such great paintings and sketches in December Lin. Hats off to you! I love your twisty road here, great how it entices the eye to follow. I'm also glad to hear you have rain!
