Fearington Gardens

Fearington Gardens

Friday Florence (http://www.flickr.com/photos/inker/) and I met at Fearington Village for a day of sketching and touring. It's been ages since I've been there -- and as always, it's a beautiful place to see! We began the day by viewing Florence's art exhibit at Galloway Ridge -- wonderful wonderful pieces of her travels and some of Fearington. We toured all the new (and older) developments on the site. When I visit Ferington, I normally just see the Village - cafe, Inn, restaurant, bookstore, Potting Shed, Barn, etc. But beyond the cows with the white stripe (which Fearington is noted), the rolling, wooded residential areas and townhouses are incredible!

We sat in one of the gardens and painted for a while ...lovely in the shade! And then had a bite to eat at the Cafe. Had to visit the bookstore and even brought home additional herbs for my gardens.

An absolutely delightful day!

What fun! I'm glad it was a nice day for you two---not too hot. I'm crossing my fingers for more rain today and I know you are, too. Florence and you have so many interests in common---she sounds like a delightful person.
