Fall Light Through Muly Grass

The other day while the sun was making its slow decent, it created an incredible spectacle as it sent its beams through some of the plumes of ornamental grasses on our property. Here, the bright shining pink lights are the fruiting spikes of Mulenbergia capillaris ...

Clumped together, Muly grass in bloom looks like pink cotton candy .. and with the light shining on them -- like the lights of fairies ...
