A Display from the Green and Growing Conference

It's been a mighty busy time here, but lots of fun. Taylor and I have had the most fun playing picnic, dollhouses, painting together, shopping a bit, and Riley has been the sweetest 'little' sister. Watching Taylor with Riley has been incredibly -- such sweet tenderness!

I've had a few minutes at a time to paint a bit, and thought I'd use some of the photos I took from the Green and Growing Show. So many wonderful displays of landscapes....very cheerful in the throes of winter!

I head back to work later this morning--much going on there as well. Intensity seems to be a perfect word for the last few weeks ...

Ah how sweet to think of the two little girls together. Reminds me of when I tried to carry my little sister around and found she was much heavier than my doll and a bit too much for me to handle.

Lovely painting -- the rocks especially have such depth and dimension. Glad you had time to play and paint!

We are in the midst of what I can only describe as a winter weirdland. We've had snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain, freezing rain, and now it's snowing. Our tree in front is on top of my car, at the kitchen window and at the front steps -- a mighty feat for a small redbud but unfortunately it is so dragged down with ice it looks like it is pointing at us through the window and at the doorway -- we are trapped by an alien ice tree! Help. So far we still have power here but lots of the city is without it. Needless to say, we are housebound for some time.
Be careful, stay warm and well. Hugs,
Lorraine

I'm glad you were there to give Taylor a bit of extra attention, and to enjoy your new granddaughter. It will be hard to give that up for work.

Your garden painting has wonderful rocks!!! Super texture and shading to them. Nice job!
