I began this doorway on location while listening to Douglass' lesson on perspective. I have to be honest and really missed the perspective here. When we got back to La Romita, I altered my drawing to 'fix' my errors and painted it in our Chapel Studio.

Ah such gorgeous photos of rooftop, arches, and doors. Your painted door is perfect -- I think you've got it - perspective that is. Beautiful painting Lin. I am so enjoying your trip through your blog; tasting the cappucino, feeling the breeze on my face from the water, hearing the horses clop clop over the bridge -- thank you so much for sharing your wonderful trip with us in so many different ways.

So lovely Lin. While you excel at flowers, you also excel with doors and windows. What a rich opportunity you had to capture so many of them.

Beautiful job on the stone of the building!!! The doorway looks great to me. I like the idea of doing sketches and then working on larger ones in the studio later.
