In the late morning just before the day warmed, the snow on the trees glittered and shined as the sun rose over the woodlands -- it simply DAZZLED ME .... But it was soon thereafter that that same bright shine turned warm and melted away the fairyland ...

The weather here has been mighty, mighty cold. No snow or rain in the forecast -- just frigid temperatures.

I'll be dashing from meeting to meeting today so I hope to catch up with everyone tomorrow ...

Stay warm!

Lin,
this is beautiful and I love how you described it too!

Unfortunately, we are frigidly cold and got snow this past week, so we are white and freezing here, but I guess it is WINTER right? hehehe!

Sending hugs and love for you and your family for the Holidays!

Oh my Lin, I could look at this over and over and over. It's just perfect! The dark foreground trees against the dazzling background. I love the way you painted those foreground trees -- with suggestion rather than elaborate detail and the colors, oh the colors all through the painting. Magnificent!!!

Everyone on the blog: be sure to click on the painting to see the enlarged version -- just terrific.

And thanks for a look at the beautiful arboretum tree -- you are so talented in so many ways. Take it easy today.
Big hugs,
Lorraine

You write so poetically! This is lovely...the contrast of the snow and the dark trees.
