Red, White and Blue-Berries --- HAPPY JULY 4TH - U.S. INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Picnics, BBQs, fireworks, family get togethers, patriotism, celebrations all mark our country's celebration of the independence we hold most dear. We cover the day in red, white and blue, colors of our country's flag - the symbol of our freedom.

My blueberries seem to ripen just in time for the holiday - in varying pinks (aka red), light whitish green (white), and the ripened blue - and though not very flaglike - still remind me of the specialness of this particular day.

I offer a sincere and humble thank you to those men and women who serve or have served in our military - It it YOU we thank for keeping our country free ... Blessings for your sacrifice.

God Bless America and those who work for our continued freedom!

HAPPY JULY 4!

Beautiful painting Lin -- soft and impressionistic. I love the muted colors.

And what a special tribute to this our INDEPENDENCE Day from tyranny and non-representation. I especially liked the fact that you integrated the reason for the holiday with the festivities of the day. So many people think only of "celebrating July 4th" with the festivities and far too few think about our freedoms. So we are losing freedoms every day that would have our founding fathers banging on their desks in Philadelphia!
Hugs,
Lorraine
