Bottle Brush Practice with Grands

1/8 Sheet
Arches 140#CP

Another dip into the archives ... I sketched this bottlebrush flower months ago when I visited my granddaughters -- I was asked to paint 'flowers' -- and so this practice piece was the result.

Meetings were back-to-back and into the late evening last night -- I only had time to touch up a larger work I brought from home ... maybe tonight will be a bit more leisurely!

Temps did reach 100F yesterday -- and we're heading for the same heat and humidity today. The air is thick and hard to breathe and we're under heat advisories. Most of us are finding work to do indoors ...

We're hoping for some rain to cool things down and resuscitate the plants - and us!

Stay cool!

What a neat flower -- a perfect name -- looks just like one of my bottle brushes except for the color and the point!! Very nice sharp strokes!

We have had horrible heat and humidity and our air cond. has not been able to keep up. Yesterday we woke to overcast skies and then a wonderful rain which has cooled things off again and given me some much needed energy. I hope it heads your way today.

Stay cool.
Hugs,
Lorraine
