Catalpa-like Flowers

I have really enjoyed painting white flowers this year, and these catalpa-like flowers really inspired me to do a larger splash and splatter approach. These unnamed white flowers are similar - yet somewhat different - than those of our catalpa trees. They remind me of a desert willow -- but I'm not sure since the leaves aren't the same. Regardless, I like the play of lights against darks and it was fun to do!

More preparations for the storm - though it looks like the hurricane has turned east enough to give us less trouble than it would otherwise ... fingers crossed.

We've also begun preliminary discussions with Edy's about the orchard -- so please, keep voting!!! THANKS SO MUCH!

PLEASE VOTE!

Oh this is beautiful Lin. I love the bits of yellow and blue and red, and of course the wonderful foliage -- all setting off the white flowers. What a beautiful flower. Yes, you've done a lot of white ones this year and I've loved them all!

Yes that darn Helen is sure keeping everyone on their toes. Red Cross volunteers from Lexington have already gone to NC.

Great news about Edy's. I see you are still holding 3rd place. BRAVO.
Hugs,
Lorraine
