Cauliflower

Journal -- Cauliflower. More salt play.

It's been an intense week of spring cleaning, divesting, and reorganizing my art closets into a manageable space. Doing art has had to take a back seat while I combined two overflowing closets into one, cleared space in 4 rooms, and divested a HUGE pile of art materials to an organization that recycles and reuses such things in art classes and creativity events. Good to know my beloved supplies are finding a new home to continue bringing joy to other artists.

This cauliflower was painted using salt to create the 'clusters' of florets ... fun trying to make salt behave! LOL

You certainly know how to turn an ordinary vegetable into a lovely piece of art. Just wonderful dear. Hope your day is blessed. Hugs!

You did a great job on this! I love how you were trying to make the salt behave. lol Have you tried using different kinds of salt. They each give a different effect...even different brands of salt. When I took the class with Judy Morris she told us to use Morton's kosher salt, not another brand, because the shape of the salt pieces give a different effect.
