Another practice on hotpress paper. I like this a lot ... though I'm finding doing such loose, washy subjects, I need to be more aware of leaving white space.
Oh this is glorious Lin. You have captured the looseness style so quickly so those classes really paid off -- and so soon. Beautiful, and I think there's plenty of white space. Love it! Hugs, Lorraine
I LOVE it!! Yes, you've really got the loose look, but more. . . the use of color values really stands out to me. The buds in the background are REALLY behind the full flowers. Just excellent, Lin!!

I think this hotpress paper is really allowing you to be beautifully loose!! You found the secret.
ReplyDeleteWow! Superb painting Lin! I wish I could be as free with watercolours as you.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice picture, Lin!

ReplyDeleteThe effect is gorgeous. And your EDM challenge 93, the eggs, are so well colored too!
ReplyDeleteI think botanicals are your thing, Lin. And you really did loosen up.
ReplyDeleteThese are so soft and beautiful
ReplyDeleteYou know how much I love lillies! These are gorgeous Lin. You've really done a wonderful job with them. :o)
ReplyDeleteLin, this is gorgeous...lovely...so delicate. I love it.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! I really love this loose style. What ever you are doing, keep it up.
ReplyDeleteGosh Lin, the is gorgeous! The "loose" style is fun but, so different.
ReplyDeleteLin - have you tried frisket for the white space before putting down your washes?
ReplyDeleteOne word - WOW! Love these, they are really stunning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love the colors & very loose! I am really enjoying seeing you put to work the techniques learned in the workshop.
