Mother's Day Freesia

I was first introduced to freesias in the late 1960s when I spent a year in Germany --- they were a gift then too -- and I fell in love with their glorious fragrance. I've grown a few when I had more time to spend in my small greenhouse .... but I LOVE their unusual form to say nothing of their heady perfume!

They do have the most amazing scent, don't they. I do love your style of drawing flowers; really lovely.

  2. Lin - I'm green with envy. My Freesias haven't come up and I doubt they will now. I so wanted to paint some. Yours are stunning. I loved reading the results of your tag. He was obviously besotted, that husband of yours, to trust a weed salad. I wish I could identify what is edible, because I'm sure our garden here is full of great salad stuff apart from what we have planted.

You've done it again! Flowers really are your forte! Beautiful piece of work. Isn't about time to come out of those sketch books and do some paintings for framing, cards, etc. I think you are there and more!
    Hugs,
