Playful Iris


Playful Iris

While the grandchildren played around me last week, I sat on the ground and sketched a patch of iris brightening the front area of our drive. When they went home, I sat back in the same spot and painted them trying again to keep a loose, playful style.

Oh they are lovely and yes you've captured that loose style perfectly. I especially like how you didn't color in from line to line -- very arty concept!

That is such a perfect color Lin. Lovely. I think my iris in Wisconsin are still snow-covered but hopefully I can paint some also.

Loose, playful, gorgeous! I still can't get over the fact that we have them growing wild in our garden. They don't grow like that in Australia.
