Montrose Garden Gate

This is the iron gate at Montrose Gardens ... I loved how it played against her poppies! I've kept this a bit lighter ... trying to keep a light feel to the painting to match the lightness of the day.

Oh, Lin, I haven't been to Montrose in so long! I love your red and green complementary pairing here and the soft greenery contrasted with the iron structure of the gate.

Oh my goodness; this is incredible -- the iron gate/fence is so perfectly dark against the lighter background and I love the brightly colored flowers. They all play off each other -- black fence/bright flowers/cool background. And oh the trees. I love them and I especially love the light flowing through the trees. This is a magnificent composition. I LOVE IT.
