Sundown Over The Lake

Yesterday was a much needed day of rest, some chores, appointments, painting, sunshine, rain showers, a short thunderstorm, and peace. A full day, but without the frenetic activity, pace and demands of the past weeks. A day
to paint a scene reflective of the tranquility.

The rains from Hurricane Bill are supposed to reach us today; though we've not seen the amount of rain that has been in the forecasts. Some areas of NC are moving toward the 'drought' mark again, and so I think we're all anxiously awaiting the rain we truly need.

Enjoy the weekend!

What a lovely peaceful painting!!!! Great job!

I hope you get some needed rain. I was lucky to have clear weather for my trip to Maine and just a bit of rain on the way back yesterday. More rain is expected her today.

Beautiful painting Lin. You achieved your goal! I love your sky and the silhouettes in the forground. Just perfect.

We are off to the state fair today (I've never been) to stump for Rand Paul. He is Ron Paul's son and is running for US Senator from KY against the machine candidate so he needs lots of support. It is beautifully cool this morning. High expected 76 and only 20% chance of rain. Hope my knee holds out.
Hugs,
Lorraine

Gorgeous painting!

You can have some of our rain. I can't remember the last time we had a day without rain up here.
