Remembering Italy

Though it's warm today and heading to the low 70s, the skies are grey and raining, and the wind blows with a ferocity that reminds us that tomorrow, our temps will merely be in the 40s ... a see-saw of a weather week. It is times like this, that my heart returns to Italy .... and the joy of its incredible light and landscapes ....!

Tonight we have a full house for our beginning gardening class. The 'green' movement, the emphasis on healthy foods, growing one's own produce, and return to simpler times fill the classes we offer -- and we're grateful. It makes for a long day, but a rewarding experience for all involved.

Tomorrow we return to the greenhouse to continue planting our crops for this spring's garden. Though so much of the US is in the throes of yet another snowfall ... the spring IS coming ....

Have a great day!

Beautiful. I love the buildings on the hill and the long sweeping hill with the foreground brush. Lovely colors too.

Be careful with that wind; it's been howling here all night and still today and it has grown so very cold but YEAH, no ice to wake up to.

Big hugs,
Lorraine

30ยบ BELOW here this morning. The sun is glorious but... I can only imagine the start of the gardening season.
No planting, even indoor, before another couple of month! I cannot wait: keep us posted on your "green" progress (:

Lovely!!! I'm ready to hike to the top of the hill with a bottle of wine, sit down, and enjoy the beauty of Italy. Care to join me?

We had a bit of an ice storm, but we were safely tucked indoors and didn't need to go out until it melted late this morning. Hope you are having a great day!
