Journal - #Uskathome - Another View from my Window - If I sit in my chair and look out over the porch railing, my neighbor's RV can be seen midst the trees ...

Journal - #UskAtHome - View from my Window

Journal - #UskaAhome - View from my Window - Being 'hunkered down' in lieu of this virus, we are all encouraged to sketch from home. Living in small quarters as we do -- our windows often face others like us, in RVs and neighbor's small gardens. This is the view from my computer table - my sweet neighbor whose flowers cheer me each season.

Journal - Village Shop

Journal - The sun finally came out yesterday, and though it was cold, my friend Gwen and I got together to sketch. The wind was whipping cold air, so we sat in the warm car, sun bright, and sketched one of the buildings at Southport's Old Village Shop. I didn't like how mine came out, so I redid it this morning - using my painting from yesterday as a reference, and a soluable ink ballpoint pen and watercolors. I like the look of THESE lines better than the solid lines I tend to do using a permanent pen ...this seems more sketchy to me - and I hope to replicate the line quality more often! (Fingers crossed! LOL)

Journal - Daffodils

Journal - Daffodils - Raining again today, but the weekend was sunny and bright. We took a lovely walk downtown, and everywhere we looked, were daffodils, announcing that spring was almost here (those, and the pine pollen! LOL) This is one of two renditions I did - ink and watercolor.

Travel Journal - Brunswick Squares

Travel Journal - Brunswick, GA - Hanover Square. I was unaware that Brunswick has squares that are similar to those found in Savannah, GA. Unfortunately, only one of these squares, Hanover, is landscaped. My understanding is that the other squares will be landscaped at some point in the future. This is a view of Hanover Square from the road.
