This Friday, February 3, Emily Paige turns TWO! For her birthday her Nonni and I bought her a Barbie Big Wheels ....
Right now it sits in the living room awaiting her wee legs to give it a whirl ... Can't wait to see her on it! (Good thing the REAL bike has better rounded wheels! LOL)
Happy Birthday to Emily!
ReplyDeleteelipses elude me too, I've yet to draw a wheel that doesn't wobble!
This is just great Lin! I recognize it from my grands. Yup, wheels get me too, but as someone said to me--hey, wonky is good:)
ReplyDeleteMemories of big wheels come flooding back!! I think they give the little kids confidence to get on the bigger bikes
ReplyDeleteI always recognize your photo in the lawn chair and get a kick out of it.
Wow Lin! This so really so wonderful. You have really captured the feel of the machine!!I can almost smell the burning rubber
ReplyDeleteI thought of Cin's complaint about her wheels as I read your post--and obviously, Cin thought of the same thing! You've got so much that's difficult here, the ellipses, the foreshortening, lots of interrelated angles, but you've done well with it all. I like your strong linework very much. Good going!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet Emily gets up some speed on these hot-wheels. :o) Lin I agree with Laura. You handled this very well. I doubt I could have pulled it off. You are amazing in your courage...in the time that I'd still be fussing about wondering if I "could do it or not" - you'd be in there and almost finished. :o) You are an inspiration my friend!
