Although our figs are quite small, we usually are able to gather a handful of ripe figs from them. A good friend of mine suggested I harvest some of her Brown Turkey figs from her 15 foot high bush! My goodness -- what a DELICIOUS feast!!!
I've sketched the recipe for fig jam -- my project for the weekend!
I don't much like figs. Their stringy texture doesn't appeal to me. I DO like your sketch and journal entry about your recipe.
ReplyDeleteExcellent painting. Great work!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it.....yummmm .....dh adores figs
ReplyDeleteLove your figs, love your shadow!
ReplyDeleteFig jam - that's something to look forward to! Love your illustrations, especially the figs. I like your sketch of your granddaughter with the butterfly - you've captured beautifully the rounded cheek and eyelashes.
ReplyDeleteWow, look at the light on those figs! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally in love with this picture! I love the composition, the colors, the lively drawing...everything! I've never heard of or had fig jam and unless you send me some, probably never will...but it sounds and looks scrumptious! This is one of my favorites of yours.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful Lin! You have the colors perfect! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh my fig jam - yum! These are great sketches Lin. Enjoy your weekend project. Sounds like it will be fun! :o)
ReplyDeleteWow--7 cups of sugar! I think I like the sketch better!
ReplyDeleteNicely done.

ReplyDeleteThese are great, Lin. And sounds yummy! I especially like the bigger sketch of the figs, but the layout of your recipe is great, too. I haven't done my recipe yet and it's a challenge I really want to do!
