To remember those in our armed services, and today especially, for my son-in-law serving overseas ...

Worked also as an exercise from Lidzey's Watercolor book using a limited palette of cadmium red, cadmium yellow and French ultramarine.

  1. Beautiful! Very fresh and cheerful - a perfect pot of color for Memorial Day. You've really got a great mix for the terra cotta pot, and the "puddled" shadow is fantastic!!

  6. The word that ran though my mind when I saw this was "Perfect!" You've got perfect symmetry and modeling on the pot and bright glowy flowers. I'm glad you mentioned your son-in-law overseas so I can say a prayer for his safety and quick return today and for all the troops who need to come home.
