I don't have any yellow petunias in my garden, but my magentas have surived the worst of this heat and drought. For the longest time, I associated petunias with old-fashioned gardens, and I suppose they have been a long, frequently used flower. I've really grown to admire their strength, beauty and ability to withstand and survive so many of summer's challenges.
We're expecting a cool front today with temps in the high 80s, low 90s, and after temperatures in the 100s, it should feel fantastic!
Hope your weather is good for you -- and your day delightful!
Love the colors!!!
ReplyDeleteWow; the yellow ones just pop from the darker ones in the background. Petunias have always been a standard summer plant here too -- but usually only in shades of pinks and light violet. They are hardy! Your painting and tribute are lovely!
ReplyDeleteA bit cooler here too today after an early morning storm yesterday. What a relief. Off to the farmer's market for tomatoes and cucumbers!
Hugs,
Lorraine
