Saucer Magnolia
Journal - Plein air - We've been having such wonderful weeks of 70sF and 80sF temps and sunshine. I sat outside and sketched these blossoms from my tree that finally bloomed!

The Salt Box
Journal -- A visit to this eatery after a few hours at Duke Gardens. An utterly delight place to eat -- picnic tables and fresh seafood and watching the cars go by. The Salt Box in Durham -- incredibly good food.

Tulips
Journal -- Spend a most delightful day at Duke Gardens this week -- the weather was incredible! Temps hovering around 80F, flowers all abloom, the scent of violets everywhere! Parking was challenging as there were several events going on at the Gardens, so by the time we walked to the heart of the Gardens and sketched a few things, time on my meter had run out. I sketched these on site, but wound up painting them at home. Definitely SPRING!
