I'm pretty pleased with these roses ...and wish I could suceed at the 'vignette/softness' yet with sufficient 'darks' more consistently ... perhaps over time as I continue practicing.

I head back to NC in a little while ... it's been a super visit with my dd, lots accomplished! I think we all will need a day of rest after this weekend! LOL

Oh Lin the roses are so beautifully and perfectly shaped -- fantastic! And I love the soft coloring too.

Lin, the roses are absolutely perfect! And the rooster is grand! It will make a great book illustration I`m sure. I don`t think you need any more practice :-) This one is perfect already. The rooster makes me want to start felting.... something with the beautiful shades of brown. And I really like roosters. My grandma had one that was a killer type! He used to chase us around the yard... scary when you where only three. He was almost bigger than me...

These are lovely Lin. Very dreamy and full of light. The rooster is great too! I like the variety of colors in his feathers.

Lin, this is so beautiful! Those roses glow softly in their simple glass vase, and I can practically smell their fresh sweet scent. I love this new style!
