Spring in Oxford - HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

Daily Practice
Journal

Buds aburstin' on hickories and maples -giving the beautiful blue skies a haze of pinks and reds, woodlands turning from grey to green, forsythia with bells of gold and yellow, Star and Saucer Magnolia in full bloom, daffodils, hyacinths, and here and there a few early Iris are all making a show for the first day of spring.

We're planning to 'play' in all this color and visit the botanical gardens in our area to capture more of the scents and splendor in our 70F sunshine.

Happy First Day of Spring!

It finally arrived. We are to have 67 and sun today before we plunge into a very cold rainy day tomorrow.

Your painting is just gorgeous Lin -- I love the colors playing against each other and blending to make a spring portrait. Perfect for the first day of spring.

Enjoy your day in the sun.
Hugs,
Lorraine

Happy Spring!!! Thanks for the lovely painting to welcome the day!!!

You asked if we saw a show in the city the other day. That was the original reason for going to Manhattan. We saw "Come Fly With Me" which is a wonderful new show done all in dance to Frank Sinatra music. I loved it!

We are having more warm weather today, so I'm heading somewhere outside to paint. Have a great day!!
