Sundown at the Park

Walking through Granville Athletic Park the other day, our timing was perfect to capture the last yellow/pink rays of the sun as it settled between the boughs of the pines and illuminated the path we followed. A few 'spot lights' of sun remained, while the woodlands around us faded into the dark of slumber ....

It's almost 7 am, and all around me this morning, is still that slumbering dark. Not even a hint of sunrise as of yet ...instead, the scent of coffee welcomes my early morning activities and greets me -- as I anticipate the light ...

Hope sunshine fills your days and delights your Sunday ...

Oh Lin what an extraordinary painting. I love the colors, the path of the sun, the highlights, and I feel like I could walk right down that path into the sunset. BRAVO. You had a terrific inspiration and you really made the most of it. Just gorgeous.

I am having my coffee but the sun has been up for quite a while now (!) but it's very cold and the coffee tastes wonderful. Hope you are enjoying yours as well.
Hugs,
Lorraine

Lin, it's breathtaking, magnificent on all levels. Your ability to capture the moment is truly amazing. Well done. Yes, and the scene your describe while smelling the aroma of fresh brewed coffee and waiting for the first light of morning describes my and I am sure most artist morning. Great post.

All the best to you,
Joan

Bravo!!!! I love this one. It has that morning feel to it for sure! Excellent colors.

I had to delay my 7 am walk today cause it was still too dark to go out. Late sunrises are slowing me down. lol Enjoy the rest of the day!!!
