Hi Lin,
PLease tell me more about you Splash and Splatter paintings..I love them and would love to paint like that, but every time I try, I end up being too controlled and my work looks flat and lifeless!

Hi Pam! It's simple to explain but easier understand if I could show you .... I start with dry paper, splatter water, splatter paint, let dry, then use selective negative painting to finish the painting. I still have to be careful about being SELECTIVE about negative painting or I could easily tighter up even splattering. I think the secret is lost and found edges, suggested shapes, and painting the 'essence' of the flower or object I"m trying for. I don't have the equipment for a video - and hope this helps a bit..... Lin
