Dear Lin - your splash and splatter roses are wonderful...sometimes one needs do a bit of splashing - reminds us that we are still children in grown up bodies (LOL)! Hugs
Hi Lin, PLease tell me more about you Splash and Splatter paintings..I love them and would love to paint like that, but every time I try, I end up being too controlled and my work looks flat and lifeless! Pam
Hi Pam! It's simple to explain but easier understand if I could show you .... I start with dry paper, splatter water, splatter paint, let dry, then use selective negative painting to finish the painting. I still have to be careful about being SELECTIVE about negative painting or I could easily tighter up even splattering. I think the secret is lost and found edges, suggested shapes, and painting the 'essence' of the flower or object I"m trying for. I don't have the equipment for a video - and hope this helps a bit..... Lin
