Garden Bed

It's a cool 70F today with a sky as blue as my grandchildren's eyes ...I sit on the grass and sketch one of my garden beds as it, and the surrounding trees and shrubs, don the late spring greenness.

The sun bleaches out some of the colors, and I see blue/green everywhere--from the rosemary on the right side of the bed to the very blue/green of the iris leaves. Spring has begun to fade into early summer.

Lin all your sketches and paintings are beautifully done. Your sink is so clean and tidy... my sink is clean but there is a lot of stuff around it. I'd have to do some serious "editing" before drawing it.
Your daughter, her husband and Baby Taylor make such a charming family and I think photos of Taylor are taking the focal point over your art work! LOL!!! She is adorable!

Beautiful color, Lin. Isn't it lovely to be able to get outside to sketch now that it's not cold every day?

What an exciting time you have had Lin, a new baby grand daughter, always special when it is your daughter too. I love the sink, the booties, the baby your family and last of all that wonderful garden.Mine is so untidy at the moment with autumn leaves dropping everywhere, yours gives promise of next spring. My Goodness! I have been going back through your blog; started at the begining and coming forward, it is amazing to see how much your eye has developed! I am excited and encouraged, I didn't realize what a short time you had been sketching! Lovely, I am a little short on time but I will explore the rest of your blog and photos too. Glad you shared your learning journey
