Spring! It has hit our landscapes pretty brightly this week - at least where I work. Ninety miles north - where I live - spring's appearance is somewhat slower in coming ...and yet, while not as colorful as the landscape south of my home, we too are enjoying the blossoms of pear trees, saucer magnolias, Bradford pears.
Today, temps should reach almost 80F ... my friend and I are hoping to paint outdoors this afternoon. There should be a wealth of inspirational material - from flowering quince to redbuds, plum trees to pears ...
It's time to see the sun!

This is beautiful, as are all your paintings. I feel I could just start walking down this lane and see lovliness all around me.
It is indeed time to see the sun and paint outdoors. It was in the high 60's here yesterday and sunny and while I was only out doing errands, I enjoyed it fully!
Your spring painting is lovely Lin. I really like the path through the woods, showing that spring has not quite "greened out there" and oh that misty suggestion of foliage on the first tree is perfect. What a nice picture of the changing seasons.
