I am heartsick with the tragedy of the Boston marathon and my heart and prayers go out to those killed and injured in this senseless event.
Though I painted this a while ago, it seems fitting today to remember those lost and hurt .... we are a people in mourning and bewilderment ....

Oh such a lovely tribute Lin. I love the way the flowers fade at the edges -- really unique and I think makes them even more beautiful as if seen through a gauzy curtain.
My heart is also hurting this morning after watching a lot of the coverage of the tragedy in Boston. We had several runners from Lexington who were there and as of Midnight last night, only two had been heard from so we are hopeful for more good news. Again, the world is too much with me. A truly sad day for all. And one can only ask why.
Hugs,
Lorraine
Lovely painting and a nice way of remembering those lost or injured.
Tragedies like are heart breaking and make us want to hold those we love a big closer and a lot longer.
A beautiful tribute for such a tragedy.
