Journal - New Hanover Arboretum
Despite the cool weather and overcast sky, a few friends and I went to the New Hanover Arboretum to sketch the plants in bloom. We stood in the shelter of one of the buildings to escape the wind, did our sketches, added local color, then went home to warm up. I added a final layer of watercolor at home. The small colorful building is the tiny house in the Children's Garden.

Oh how I love seeing all this color. It gives me hope for the future spring-like weather that will surely move into our area soon.
