Calla Lilies

Calla Lilies

The wind blew hard yesterday and the sun shone, but the cold kept me indoors and dreaming of Italy. This painting was done from a photo I took of the calla lilies in the courtyard of a Tuscan gardener. I loved seeing them in their earthenware pot ... dark green leaves, bright white flowers ....and the memories of spring.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Love the leaves; so detailed and they shine!!! You're dreaming of Italy; I'm dreaming of Spring. We had a bit of sun yesterday but oh the wind was so cold and bitter. All the snow was gone by early afternoon yet it snowed again last night and is predicted up into March. Oh, I'm so tired of the cold!!!
Hugs,
Lorraine

JUST GORGEOUS!!!! I love it. White flowers are so hard to do, and you shaded them so well.

We had about 5 inches of snow yesterday. We were lucky because about 30 minutes away they had 2 feet!

Have a fun weekend!!

These are so beautiful and I now want to go out to see if I am getting any blooms yet.
