To remember those in our armed services, and today especially, for my son-in-law serving overseas ...

Worked also as an exercise from Lidzey's Watercolor book using a limited palette of cadmium red, cadmium yellow and French ultramarine.

Beautiful! Very fresh and cheerful - a perfect pot of color for Memorial Day. You've really got a great mix for the terra cotta pot, and the "puddled" shadow is fantastic!!

These are so delightful! I love that blue shadow too, I'd never have thought to make it so blue but it ties in with the flowers so well!

The word that ran though my mind when I saw this was "Perfect!" You've got perfect symmetry and modeling on the pot and bright glowy flowers. I'm glad you mentioned your son-in-law overseas so I can say a prayer for his safety and quick return today and for all the troops who need to come home.
