The challenge of the Botanical Arts group this month is fungi ....Since we've been too long without rain to find any, I used a photo reference for these fungi in hopes we get some rain soon!

If you can do something this good from a photo, I'd love to see you painting fungi from life! So, I hope you get some rain soon too. (Just so long as it doesn't fall here as well!)
Wow; great job -- another very realistic one; love the grass too but oh the way you've gotten those tops is fantastic. Rain here today - predicted! Hugs, Lorraine
I grew up with a mom who loved to draw red mushrooms with white polka dots, but I like your monochroic ones too --- they look elegant (I would never thought to say this about fungi).I love your mushrooms painting. :)

Lin,
What a great watercolor!
These are great Lin, it's not an easy subject and you've done a brilliant job. Love the composition too!

This is great Lin...I.m alwys fascinated by those huge fungi that shows up in spots after the rain! Lovely colors.
