I'm finally making my way through the almost-finished pieces from Karlyn's workshp. This is another Italian Door -- done with her "Outside the Lines' Technique. It's a bit more saturated in person and larger -- but this all I could fit on my scanner.
We bit the bullet yesterday and bought our family a new camera for Christmas. It's a Canon A650 IS and I'm loving that swivel viewfinder. NOW I can find a way to stand ABOVE my paintings to take entire photos of them and won't have to rely so much on the scanner!
We're off to finish a bit more shopping today ... and we have our 'final must gets' for the holidays. Yahoo --- the end of the tunnel looms!

Yet again another beautiful painting... I loved it. Your new camera sounds nice... It will make it easier to take a photo rather then scanning it...Have a great day!

I can't believe how much you did in her workshop!! I also discovered that she has workshops near her home in northern Wisconsin. I am going to check into this summer. You got me convinced!!
Congratulations on the new camera. I know how frustrating it can be to try to scan large items. Enjoy! Today's painting makes me feel warm and sunny -- which it is NOT here! Thanks for brightening my day.

Excellent, Lin - lovely technique. It won't be long before you are painting such doors on location! I also loved your autumn foliage in your Thanksgiving post. Beautiful work, Happy Holiday. Now I'm off to check out your new camera. I'm sure you will love it!
