I'm dreaming of Italy again, and used a reference photo from Wet Canvas to practice angles and perspectives yet again ...
The service folks have replaced our a/c and heating units -- and though the temperatures are too mild (in the 60s) to test the strength of either -- the QUIETNESS of the new units is a wonderful thing to behold! No more rattles and bangs when the unit kicks in and no more shutters when the units kick off ... peace .. sweet peace!
Errands to run with my son today -- hope everyone has a good one!

Terrific and detailed painting Lin. I can tell where your heart is!! You capture the Italian landscape so beautifully.
Congratulations on the new HVAC -- expensive but the quiet is worth it. This is supposed to be our last 70's day so maybe yours won't be far behind!
So glad you'll be taking K's classes again.

having just finished my perspective painting I understand how important it is to get angles just right, how to manipulate the atmosphere through values and how you can tinker to no end and still see problems. But I have a better understanding now of how to approach buildings. You did a great job on this scene!
Great view of Tuscany from above...lovely job!!
beautiful!!! Do I know you from RMS?? Terriedj/doxieluvr
My dear Lin,
stopped by to say Hello ...quickly scrolled down the page to feed my soul :)... hope to be able to return tomorrow for a decent look of your fabulous paintings and to read what you are doing lately...
Wonderful today painting... it is so peaceful and kinda intimate.. I guess it's the house in foreground which makes this feeling. Beatiful... Lin, you are living a whole-year-Italy-holidays...not everyone can say that! ;) Enjoy!
Oh, a bunch of us from HGTV's RMS are blogging now instead of posting there. I thought I knew you from there. I am sorry, I guess I had the wrong person. But, I do really like your blog.
Brava, Lyn you are certainly ready to paint Italy again! Lovely work and great perspective.
